科室特色：心外一科以主动脉疾病治疗为特色，同时也擅长冠心病、瓣膜病、先心病以及其它类型心脏病的外科治疗。在主动脉外科及介入治疗方面，在国内处于领先地位，孙立忠教授创立了孙氏手术，成为主动脉弓部疾病的标准术式。本科室擅长诊治各类疑难、复杂的主动脉疾病。Surgical ward 1, department of Cardiovascular Surgery Surgical ward 1, is specialized and renowned in the treatment of aortic disease. Our expertise allows us to manage all aspects of cardiovascular disease and deliver quality care for both standard and advanced cases – making the our centre the premier adult cardiac & aortic disease centre in China and a hub for education, research and innovation. We strive to lead the world in innovative aortic surgery and endovascular therapies. Professor Sun invented Sun’s procedure and that has become a standard procedure to treat complicated aortic diseases.

Surgical ward 1, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery affiliated to the Beijing Aortic Disease Center. Currently comprises 60 beds. Our medical team consists of 20 doctors, among whom 5 are chief physician, 9 are associate chief physician. Our Center offers advanced technology and equipment to diagnose heart and aortic disease, treat people with aortic disease, coronary heart disease, rheumatic valvular disease, congenital heart disease. Our nationally known surgeons are committed to providing excellent operation in contemporary facilities. Our team is led by internationally renowned Li-Zhong Sun, M.D. and Yong-Min Liu M.D. with subspecialties in adult cardiac surgery and aortic surgery. Every year we treat more than 1400 hospitalized patients and accomplish over 1200 cases of surgeries, six hundreds of whom underwent aortic surgery. The overall mortality in our center was less than 3 percent. The center fully equipped with the advanced medical treatment equipment such as ventilators, patient monitors, echocardiography and electrocardiogram. Beijing Aortic Disease Center has two wards, Including 90 beds. The center has 37 surgeons, including 8 professors and 10 vice-professors, 4 doctorate supervisors and 6 supervisors of master degree. There are 43 nurses, including 5 chief nurses, 14 nurse practitioners. The Beijing Aortic Disease Center provides world-class cardiovascular care and is one of the largest programs of its kind in China. It has become Chinese premier cardiac centre with some of the best patient outcomes.

大血管疾病诊疗中心人员获国家科学进步奖5项，省部级科学进步奖11项，拥有发明专利10项，实用新型专利8项。承担科研课题47项，其中国家级项目22项，省部级项目19项，首都医学科研发展基金6项。举办国际交流学习班4界、主动脉外科继续教育学习班和专题研讨会9次、国内外手术演示1 次，卫星直播手术演示2次，举办国际性大血管疾病论坛6次，国内外会议发言60余次。发表SCI文章36篇，核心期刊200篇。

Research is a core strength of Beijing Aortic Disease Center and the centre is home to many world and China firsts. Among them, 5 projects approved prize of national scientific and technological progress award, 11 approved provincial award for the Advancement of Science. By far, we have 10 patents for invention and 8 patents fo utility model . the center has undertaken 47 research projects funded by central government, 19 by ministries. Work for holding “Aortic Diseases” forum from 2009 and 2013 so as to promote international exchanges in this area and further treatment of China’s aortic diseases .Aortic surgery of continuing education courses were hold successfully 9 times, in which satellite live operation was held 2 times. Our team has published total 200 papers in professional journals , of which 36 SCI articles.
