1983年毕业于浙江医科大学医学系（学士），1988年毕业于军事医学科学院微生物学与流行病学研究所（硕士），1995年毕业于浙江医科大学传染病研究所（博士）。1996年就职于浙江医科大学传染病研究所，任助理研究员。1997年10月～2000年9月在德国吕贝克医科大学微生物学和卫生学研究所作访问学者、博士后研究[德意志学术交流中心(DAAD) BIOSCIENCES 项目]，2000年10月回国。2003年6月～2003年11月又赴德国石荷州大学微生物学和卫生学研究所作访问研究。主要从事病毒性肝炎的病原学和分子生物学研究工作，主要研究方向为肝炎病毒的基因结构与功能以及基因封闭与阻断。
